Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the ThinkBiz mobile application (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ThinkBiz (“we,” “our,” or “us”), the operator of the App and organiser of the ThinkBiz Academy conference series.

2. Description of Service

ThinkBiz is the official mobile companion for the ThinkBiz Academy conference series — the largest student entrepreneurship conference in Greece. The App provides:

Features and content vary by event. Access to certain features may require registration for a specific event.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to register and use the App (15 in Greece per Law 4624/2019, Art. 21). By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

The App is intended for conference attendees, students, speakers, sponsors, and other event participants.

4. Account Registration & Security

4.1 Creating an Account

You may register using your email address and password, or via Google or Apple Sign-In. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Keep your account information up to date
• Maintain the confidentiality of your password
• Not share your account credentials with anyone
• Notify us immediately at privacy@thinkbiz.gr if you suspect unauthorised access

4.2 One Account per Person

You may only hold one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent a suspension or ban is prohibited.

4.3 Account Responsibility

You are responsible for all activity under your account. ThinkBiz is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep credentials secure.

4.4 Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account. Personal data is purged within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., ticket records under Greek tax law — see our Privacy Policy).

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Uses

You may use the App to browse event content, connect and network with other attendees, participate in live sessions, purchase tickets, post Moments, and explore career opportunities — all in accordance with these Terms.

6. User-Generated Content

6.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of content you create and post (“Your Content”), including profile information, Moments, messages, Q&A questions, and CV uploads.

6.2 Licence to ThinkBiz

By posting Your Content, you grant ThinkBiz a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and adapt Your Content solely to operate, promote, and improve the App and ThinkBiz events. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content already shared with other users (e.g., messages received by a recipient).

6.3 Content Standards

Your Content must not:

• Infringe any third party’s intellectual property rights
• Contain personal data of third parties without their consent
• Constitute spam or unsolicited promotional material
• Contain sexually explicit material
• Promote violence, discrimination, or illegal activity

6.4 Moments

Moments auto-expire after 24 hours from publication. You are solely responsible for posted content. ThinkBiz may remove any Moment that violates these Terms without prior notice.

6.5 Content Moderation

ThinkBiz reserves the right (but has no obligation) to review, edit, or remove any User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, at our sole discretion.

7. Ticketing & Payments

7.1 Ticket Purchases

Event tickets are sold through the App via Stripe. All prices are in euros (€) and include applicable VAT.

7.2 Order Confirmation

Your purchase is confirmed when you receive an order confirmation email and your ticket appears in the App with a QR code for venue entry.

7.3 Refund Policy

7.4 Event Cancellation & Postponement

If ThinkBiz cancels an event, affected ticket holders will receive a full refund or credit towards a future event. If an event is postponed, tickets remain valid for the new date; refunds will be offered if the new date is unsuitable.

7.5 Ticket Transfer

Tickets are personal and non-transferable unless otherwise stated for a specific event.

7.6 Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service. ThinkBiz never stores your card details.

8. Networking & Messaging

8.1 Voluntary Participation

Networking features are entirely voluntary. You control your visibility, availability status, and which profile information is public via your privacy settings.

8.2 Connection Requests

Connections are mutual — a user must accept your request before messaging is enabled.

8.3 Direct Messages

You are solely responsible for the content of your messages. ThinkBiz does not monitor private messages except where required by law or to investigate a reported violation.

8.4 No Endorsement

ThinkBiz does not verify any user’s qualifications, credentials, or profile claims. You are responsible for independently verifying information shared by other users.

8.5 Blocking & Reporting

You may block any user at any time. Report inappropriate behaviour via the in-app reporting feature or by emailing privacy@thinkbiz.gr.

9. Career Agora

The Career Agora is a digital space where companies showcase profiles and job opportunities during ThinkBiz events. ThinkBiz acts solely as a platform facilitating visibility.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 ThinkBiz Property

All rights in the App — including its design, code, branding, logos, event content (speaker presentations, recordings), and all content created or commissioned by ThinkBiz — are owned by or licensed to ThinkBiz. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property.

10.2 Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you grant ThinkBiz the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation.

10.3 Third-Party Content

Certain content (speaker slides, sponsor logos, company profiles) is owned by third parties and displayed under licence. You may not reproduce or distribute such content without the rights holder’s permission.

11. Third-Party Services & Links

The App integrates with third-party services (Google, Apple, Stripe, OneSignal, Sentry, etc.) and may contain links to external websites. These are governed by their own terms. ThinkBiz is not responsible for:

• The availability, accuracy, or content of third-party services
• Losses or damages arising from your use of third-party services
• The privacy practices of third-party websites

12. Disclaimers

Programme changes, speaker cancellations, and venue changes may occur. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes through the App.

13. Limitation of Liability

Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €50, whichever is greater.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ThinkBiz and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App in violation of these Terms
• Your User Content
• Your violation of any third party’s rights
• Your violation of applicable law

15. Account Suspension & Termination

15.1 By ThinkBiz

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or harmful behaviour, provided false registration information, or violated applicable law.

15.2 By You

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time without penalty (see Section 4.4).

15.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 6, 10, 12, 13, 14, and 16 survive termination.

16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece and applicable European Union law.

Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Athens, Greece, except where EU consumer protection rules require otherwise (in which case, you may also bring proceedings in your country of residence).

17. Miscellaneous

17.1 Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and ThinkBiz regarding the App.

17.2 Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.

17.3 No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it in the future.

17.4 Assignment

You may not assign your rights under these Terms. ThinkBiz may assign its rights and obligations without restriction.

17.5 Language

These Terms are written in English. In the event of any conflict with a translated version, the English version prevails.
